Outrigger baby boom

MORE than 60 female staff members at the popular Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort are expected to bring new additions to the Korotogo family this year.

Resort general manager Peter Hopgood said a baby boom with more than 60 babies expected to be born to staff members was a blessing to their individual families and also to Outrigger Fiji.

"In my eight years working at Outrigger, the girls have had more than 500 babies and the good news is that each and every one of them has returned to work here," Mr Hopgood said.

He said the resort was strongly supportive of its mothers-to-be with all hosts giving birth receiving 84 days paid maternity leave.

He said Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort's baby boom record was set in 2013 when out of the 275 female staff members, 105 had babies.
