Great effort

Lawrence Wara, Suva
Thursday, November 09, 2017

Hats off to John and the boys for the great effort this season but especially to mataqali Seruvakula and team for trying to keep up with semi-professionalism that is expected from the NRC.

We can only move forward from here and I look forward to seeing more U20 and Deans players drafted in the squad to provide our local boys chance to make it to the big league.

I had a dream that one day we will have all or majority homegrown players make up the Flying Fijians and prepare ourselves well and also match tier one nations pound for pound.

I hope the big wigs in the white house are planning ahead for next year, as we've got a rare opportunity in front of us, let's not lose it but capitalise on it and build up our player-base locally.

Good luck to the our sevens gladiators' men's and women's teams in the Oceania 7s and also our Flying Fijians in their first game of the Northern tour but lest we forget our brethren the Fiji Bati ... go hard fellas.

Toso Viti.
