Weather Bulletin

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure remains slow moving just to

the north of Vanua Levu. Associated cloud and showers affect the

northern parts of the country. It is expected to gradually intensify

and drift south towards the group from Thursday.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:

Some showers over northern Vanua Levu, the eastern parts and interior

of the larger islands. Isolated thunderstorms expected. Elsewhere,

fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and possible

thunderstorms.

Moderate to fresh southeast winds.

Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers and isolated

thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, the eastern parts and interior of the

larger islands. Cloudy periods with showers and thunderstorms

especially in the afternoon or evening elsewhere.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :

Cloudy periods with some showers.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers and isolated

thunderstorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :

Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers with possible

thunderstorms.

Outlook for Thursday : Showers and thunderstorms especially in the

afternoon or evening.

For Labasa :

Some showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers and isolated

thunderstorms.

For Savusavu : Cloudy periods with some showers.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers and isolated

thunderstorms.

For Rotuma :

Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving in the vicinity

of Rotuma.

Some showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times. Winds turning and

becoming easterly later tomorrow.

Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Thursday : Occasional showers and few thunderstorms.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR SOUTHERN LAU WATERS,

KADAVU AND VATU-I-RA PASSAGES.

Further outlook: Easterly winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough

seas. Moderate southeast swells.

For the rest of Fiji Waters:

East to southeast winds 15 to 20 knots .

Moderate to rough seas. Moderate southeast swells.

Further outlook: Easterly winds 15 to 20 knots. Moderate to rough

seas. Moderate southeast swells.
