THE Premier Logging Ravoravo rugby side honoured their players during the awards night held at Sabeto Village early this week.

With just three years since its inception, the side managed to reach the Top 8 final this year but was bundled out of the top award by their fellow Sabeto Village boys — the Sabeto Roosters

Former Fiji Bati rep Tikiko Noke was named the best player while evergreen Josateki Savou took out the best forward of the year. Young Timoci Namotukula won the best backline player of the year.

Laitasi Cama took out the best under-18 player of the year while Sairusi Tanidrala walked away with the best under-16 player of the year.

Rabbitohs president Tikosaya Ledua congratulated the award winners for hard work and sacrifices endured throughout the season.

He also challenged other players to lift their performance next year and to help the team deliver the goods.

Ledua thanked the team officials, players, sponsor, fans and the people of Sabeto for their support that enabled the team to reach the final.

"Firstly I thank the players that were rewarded for their hard work," he said.

"They deserved to be commended for their effort at the same time their achievements will inspire their teammates to work hard."

He said the side had produced some wonderful rugby league players.

"I am so happy for the support and the many new talents displayed this year.

"We formed the club in 2015 after witnessing the many talents in the village and we are grateful that we have done well since then.

"One of the main objectives of our formation is to engage our youth and keep them away from criminal activities."

Ledua challenged the players to utilise their talents and become role models for their children.

"Our focus is not only about the game in fact we want our players to value their talents and work hard to become better players.

"Most importantly to become successful players and to support their families," he added.
