CRUSADERS flyer Jone Macilai scored the most important try of his life when he married the love of his life, Maria Masitabua, at the Delaivalelevu Methodist Church in Nasinu yesterday.

Macilai and Masitabua exchanged vows in front of family members and friends.

The couple met four years ago and according to Macilai, he was hooked up to cloud nine when he first saw Masitabua.

"The first time I met her, the first time I talked to her in person, that's when I realised that she was the right one for me. I could just feel she was the one," he said.

"She is very supportive, she supports my rugby and is one of my biggest fans.

He thanked his bride for her support over the years and described the feeling that having her by his side made him complete and his aspirations to further his rugby career more stronger.

Masitabua however, described her husband as being very shy at first briefly describing how she had gotten used to his absence because of his touring with the Crusaders.

"I do my best to support him in his rugby in whatever ways I can and however I can. And at the moment I am a stay at home mum to be, being seven months pregnant.

"So yes we have really gotten to know each other very well over the years and I am looking forward to the times we have ahead of us and the journey we are embarking on," Masitabua said.

The couple are expecting a boy early next year and to this Macilai said he looked forward to holding small Johnny in his arms.
