THE 2017 Vodafone-sponsored Fiji Darts National Singles competition will be held at the Defence Club in Suva tomorrow.

Fiji Darts Association president Nyla Alfred said they were looking forward to a successful competition.

"The 21-year-old Nickeel Chandra is set to defend his Fiji Darts national singles title on Sunday," she said.

"The competition will see 23 other players who will be vying for this title and amongst them will be Romit Mahabir who was runner-up last year."

Alfred said there were four pools of six players and two will qualify for the quarter-finals.

"Heading pool one is Edward Roxburgh, who has been performing well during the Suva Darts competition for his Traps team. Teammate Desmond Slatter is in pool four headed by Nickeel's dad, Nilesh Chandra. Nilesh will have an uphill task taking on Mahabir in pool four," she added.

The top two ranked teams from the pool matches will progress to the quarter-finals.

Fixtures: Pool 1- Shaheil Hussein, Salendra Singh, Greg Pooran, Atelini Kanaivalu, Javed Rahiman. Pool 2- Dharmen Chandra, Shalendra Prasad, Rakesh Chand, Mereia Ram, Mohitesh Kumar . Pool 3- Shaneel Narayan, Vijendra Singh, Lawrence Ram, Prem Chand, Ana Ruci
