KNOWN as the voice of rugby, legendary rugby commentator Graham Eden will add flavour to the much anticipated inaugural annual Sabeto Races tomorrow.

Race organiser Kim Beddoes said Eden would be doing the live commentary of the races for horse racing fans throughout the country on Communication Fiji Ltd (CFL) sister radio station - Viti FM and FM96.

She said the presence of Eden would boost the event which already has more than 100 horses registered for the races.

"The aim of the Sabeto Races is to create an event in the West that is enjoyable and fun for the whole family," said Beddoes.

"The timing of the Sabeto Races was planned to coincide with build-up of excitement in the horse racing community leading up to the Melbourne Cup next week.

"Horse racing is still an amateur sport in Fiji. We hope to raise the bar and make the Sabeto Race as Fiji's most prestigious horse racing event of the year.

"We are encouraging everyone to come down to the Sabeto Races, support the sport and have a great day out for the family."

The event will be held at the Aviva Farms and tickets can be bought at the gates which open at 10am.

"There will be food stalls, a kava bar and Victoria Wines bar for those wishing to enjoy a cold beer or two.

"We are very grateful to our sponsors for helping make this event a reality."
