VODAFONE Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter is seeking clarification from Rugby League World Cup before he makes a decision on injured front row Kane Evans' replacement.

Potter said RLWC approval was also needed for Pio Sokobaluvu, who had been identified to replace injured lock Korbin Sims.

A number of names submitted by Fiji in the RLWC portal of registered players are playing for other countries such as Michael Jennings who is playing for Tonga and Reagan Campbell Gillard who is a member of the Australia Kangaroos.

Each country participating in the RLWC submitted 40 names for the portal and are then required to trim the squad to 24.

"I just need some clarification from RLWC, I would like to see what's the protocol before a decision is made," Potter said.

He also clarified that Fiji Resident Etuate Qionimacawa is injured and not Etuate Bola, who is also a wing and a fullback, the non-travelling reserve.

Meanwhile, the Bati coaching staff spent the morning viewing Fiji's 58-12 victory over USA last Saturday. Potter said there were some areas that needed a bit of work and they would polish these this week before Sunday's match against Italy.

"There's a few things that we need to get right and we will cover that in training this week."

The Fiji Bati team trained at the Mike Carney Toyota Park yesterday morning.
