Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 7:30pm on Saturday the 28th of October 2017

Situation: A weak trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers to the west of Fiji is gradually moving eastwards towards the group.

It is expected to approach the country and affect the group from later tonight. Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Some showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over the eastern parts and interrior of the larger islands.

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms with possible heavy falls. Moderate easterly winds, fresh at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Monday : Cloudy periods with some showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible isolated thunderstorms elsewhere.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori : Some showers and few thunderstorms . Outlook for Monday : Cloudy periods with some showers.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba : Cloudy periods with afternoon or evening showers and isolated thunderstorms. Outlook for Monday : Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.

For Labasa : Cloudy periods with isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Outlook for Monday : Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible isolated thunderstorms

For Savusavu : Some showers and few thunderstorms . Outlook for Monday : Cloudy periods with some showers.

For Rotuma : Situation: A trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Rotuma. Associated cloud and showers affects the island. Occasional showers, heavy at times and few thunderstorms. Moderate easterly winds, fresh at times. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Monday : Showers and thundertorms.
