OCEANIA table tennis team manager Michael Brown is happy with 12-year-old Fiu Luu's performance in the 2017 ITTF World Cadet Challenge.

Brown said this was his second World Cadet Challenge and so far he had the strongest performance compared with his past games.

"He has a few wins throughout the week in the team competition and the singles event and this is one of the key areas he has been working towards to achieve his target," he said.

"He has another two years to move up to the next age-category and we hope to see him improve and continue to make the Oceania team. Overall performance from the boys team was strong, unfortunately they couldn't make the final. In the team's event they finished seventh and in the boys doubles they reached the quarter-finals and for the singles event we have three players who are playing for the positions from 17-24 which is the best performance."
