Brown to face Drua

LANKY James Brown of the Sydney Rays is wary of the firepower of the Fiji Airways Drua when the teams meet in the National Rugby Championship match at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this evening.

Brown, who played for the Fiji 7s team and captained Suva in the domestic competition, said the Fijian Drua would come out attacking against them.

"It will be a hard game tomorrow (today) especially playing against the local boys who will come out at us from everywhere on the field," he said before the captain's run yesterday.

"The match will be a physical match and we know how capable the Fijian Drua team is.

"We have prepared well for the match and we will go into the match with a aim of winning the match and ending the season with a good win. I hope the fans will come out in numbers to support us."

Sydney Rays have the services of the Waratahs players Bryce Hegarty at half back and Irane Simone at the number 12 for the match.

"It is the last game of the year and we are excited to be part of the great game tomorrow (today) because it is the end of the long year and the players are relaxed and when they are relaxed then they are confident and the players put up a great performance," coach Julian Huxley said.

"We are playing to win and finish the season on a good note and we will see how it goes. We have players who want to make it to the next level and they have learnt a lot.

"We are wary of the Fijians free flow rugby which they have been known for, but we will try to ensure that the game is played to our terms and I am sure the Drua would like to open it up and use their athleticism and it will be a good battle and hopefully the rain stays away so we can use the ball around."

The match kicks off at 6.30pm.
