Bowling cancelled

THE Five Squares-sponsored Suva Bowling Club business house competition first round was called off on Thursday.

Suva Bowling Club manager Diwan Chand said they decided to call off the matches because of the rain.

"We had to call off the matches scheduled for the first round on Thursday because of the rain and now the matches will be played on Tuesday," he said.

"It was good to see all the 16 teams here for their respective matches."

The competition will run for six weeks which would also close the season for this year while another season of the business house competition was expected to start from February, This is also sponsored by Five Squares.

"It is a good competition for people to come and compete in and be fit," Chand added.

"The fixtures which were supposed to be played on Thursday will now be played on Tuesday."

The winner of the competition will get $400 as prizemoney.
