Resort plans to tap into MICE

OUTRIGGER Fiji Beach Resort & Spa is looking to enter the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) markets with the construction of a conference facility at the Korotogo property soon.

Resort general manager Peter Hopgood said Outrigger Fiji offered guests every type of holiday experience and once established, the new conference centre would give the popular holiday retreat another feather in its cap.

"With our meimei nanny service, we give families the best holiday experience.

"Parents can relax and enjoy themselves knowing that their children are being taken care of by the best carers in the world.

"And we also provide an indulgent holiday experience for those who prefer not to be around children with our Vahavu adults only restaurant and pool entertainment area.

"And one sector of the market that we have been wanting to go into is the MICE market.

"Those properties that offer conference facilities and packages are doing very well and we also hope to get a slice of this market once our conference centre is established."

He said the site of the conference facility had been identified and construction plans would be announced soon.
