THE High Court in Suva has allowed a church leader to travel to the UK for a conference.

All Nations Church head Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca filed an application for variation to bail last week.

Mr Ratabacaca has pleaded not guilty to a count of indecent assault and two of rape.

Judge Justice Paul Madigan in his ruling ordered that Mr Ratabacaca's passport be released to him on August 8.

In his submission last Friday, defence lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo said his client was invited to be guest speaker at an All Nations Church conference from August 16 to 20 in the UK.

Justice Madigan allowed Mr Ratabacaca to travel from August 10 to 28.

He also ordered that the applicant's reporting to Samabula Police station be suspended between August 8 and 30 and that the director immigration be notified.

Mr Ratabacaca has been ordered to return his passport to the High Court criminal registry on August 29.
