AusAID will double its aid to Fiji from $33.7 million (A$18.6 million) to $65.6 million (A$36 million) from next month.
AUSAID director general Peter Baxter announced this today during a visit to the Lami Health Centre.
He said this funding would help Fiji's most vulnerable communities.
Australia will support Fiji's Ministry of Health to strengthen primary health services and increase childhood immunisation to ensure rates stay above 90 per cent, Mr Baxter said.
