THE Suva Netball Association yesterday hosted their players in the national netball team for afternoon tea to wish them well for the Pacific Netball Series that begins next Wednesday.

The players also received some pocket money to cover their expenses during the competition.

Association president RubyAnn Sorovaki said they wanted the best for their players.

"Whenever, there is a international tournament, the Suva Netball Association fund raises to collect money for our players in the national team," Sorovaki said.

"This is our way of showing support to our players."

The cash donation was also from NewWorld Supermarket, the major sponsor of the association. They are also sponsoring three Suva players and one of their ambassadors is Kini Velau.

"Apart from that, we would just like to thank the players for their time and effort and for representing Suva in the national team."

Sorovaki said since the PNS will be held at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, many members of the Association will be present to cheer on the girls.
