A KIND act was portrayed by students and teachers of Bulileka Sanatan College in Labasa after they collected stationery, clothing and cash for flood victims in the west.

The supplies were handed over to the Fiji Red Cross Labasa branch co-ordinator Arthur Simmons.

Speaking on behalf of the school management, Deepak Chand said the teachers and students were asked to give whatever they could.

"Principal Jitendra Prasad came up with the idea and he requested everyone to donate generously for the sake of the victims, especially the affected students. While corporate agencies and other stakeholders in the north were a great help, we also made our school holidays different by donating something for our mates and fellow citizens in the west," said Mr Chand.
