SUVA soccer coach, Gurjeet Singh is confident of claiming three points from its opening round of the Vodafone Fiji FACT.
The capital side faces Nadi at 12.30pm this Sunday at Lautoka's Churchill Park and Singh said a win in the first match would set a good platform for his side in the tournament.
"We have a tough pool for this tournament and three points will definitely set a good platform for the rest of the tournament," he said.
He said his team would play attacking soccer against the jetsetters and would be aiming to score goals.
"Solomon Islander, Ralph Sherwin who was injured in the match against Savusavu in the National League was only doing light training and has been medically cleared.
"His presence will definitely boost our goals scoring chances and if he did not play, it would have been a big setback because he is one of our top strikers"
Singh said the team had been in camp from last Friday and would be relying on teamwork to carry the team through.
"Last week we worked on fitness because we lacked fitness in our game against Lautoka in the league.
"This week we are concentrating on teamwork because it is very important and will help us win games if the team functions as a unit."
He has called on Suva soccer fans in the west to come to Churchill Park and support the team.
"Support from fans is important too. It will motivate players to play better and we ask our fans in the western to come and cheer for us," Singh said.
