DESPITE the odds stacked against them, the Rewa rugby team is hoping to create the biggest upset in round five of the Digicel Cup competition when they face giants Nadroga at Burebasaga grounds tomorrow.

The side coached by Watisoni Ratulevu is hoping to give the Stallions its first defeat of the season.

Team manager Inia Tubui said they had been working around the clock to fix the weak areas in the team to ensure they put up a better performance than in the previous rounds.

"We have improved on our performance in the past couple of rounds.

"We played well against Naitasiri despite losing to them and we won our friendly match against Northland last week," he said.

"So we want to keep that momentum going when we face Nadroga.

"We respect Nadroga and it is a very well known team but we really want to win this game."

Rewa finished strongly in last year's competition but they have been struggling to find their footings this year.

The team has lost majority of its key players to other provincial teams and is in the developing phase with a new of bunch players.

"We have only five players with us from last season and the rest are the new ones.

"But we are happy with the progress they have made so far," Tubui said.

"The team is preparing very well and we are ready to take Nadroga on.

"We believe the almighty God will strengthen us until the last whistle."

"We request the Rewa supporters to come and support the team at Burebasaga."

The Rewa-Nadroga match kicks-off at 3pm.
