FIJI'S only other English newspaper, the Fiji Sun, refused to comment when contacted yesterday for a comments related to World Press Freedom Day.
Editor Epineri Vula was asked to comment on the public perception of the newspaper being a medium of government information.
Mr Vula initially said he would respond but failed to do so after he asked The Fiji Times to provide evidence supporting such a claim.
The Fiji Times photographer Jone Luvenitoga was also barred from entering the Fiji Sun newsroom where he intended to take photos of reporters marking World Press Freedom Day.
