LET the fun begin.
With FIJI Showcase 2012 beginning today, performers at the annual event are gearing up to rock the stage.
Notable among them is New Zealand actor Vinyl Burns
Most people only recognise him on stage, but remove the rose tinted glasses and the prop teeth and you wouldn't know world-renowned stage performer Vinyl Burns from a bar of soap.
Vinyl Burns, or Kim Potter as he calls himself when he is not on stage, has been in the stage performing business for almost 20 years now.
"My cousin was the person who actually forced me to start juggling and since then I've never looked back," Mr Potter said.
His juggling obsession led him to work in a shop which sold juggling supplies, a place where he learnt skills to add to his juggling repertoire.
"At the juggling shop customers would come in and teach me a skill I didn't know and then I would teach them a skill they didn't know and so on," he explained.
Years of learning and teaching his trade finally led him to the stage character Vinyl Burns, whose on stage antics includes a comedy show, a diabolo or Chinese yo-yo bit, unicycle riding and a magic show among others.
He describes the character Vinyl Burns as a "sort of guy that used to be amazing in the 70s but isn't really as great anymore."
The character Vinyl Burns even has his own back story, one that stretches from the Las Vegas Strip to the jungles of Brazil.
Mr Potter said he was looking forward to performing at FIJI Showcase 2012, even though he understood there could be cultural differences in humour.
"What's beautiful about the show is that a funny thing is a funny thing no matter where the performance is taking place," he said with a humorous glint in his eye.
FIJI Showcase 2012 starts today and concludes on May 12.
