FIJI under-23 soccer players Krishneel Dutt and Archie Watkins will co-pilot the Nadroga soccer team's campaign at the Fiji FACT which starts this Sunday.
Nadroga is eager to bounce back and record a win after losing their previous National Football League games.
Dutt and Watkins who represented Fiji at the Oceania tournament in New Zealand in March will have huge responsibilities on their shoulders as they will try to lift Nadroga's performance.
Nadroga soccer coach John Rounds said the duo had the potential to lead the team. Former skipper and goalkeeper Levi Tawake is tied-up with work commitments and often misses training sessions.
"I think Krishneel and Archie have the potential the lead the team. They have the experience and we will be banking on them to lead with example," Rounds said.
Despite Nadroga's poor performance in the NFL, Rounds said they should not be written off during the Fiji FACT.
Nadroga takes on Tavua in its opening match at Churchill Park on Sunday. Nadi plays Suva, Ba takes on Navua while Lautoka hosts defending champion, Rewa in the other round one matches.
"We will do well during the Fiji FACT and we should not be written off. I know that our performance in the league is not that good but we will give our best shot this weekend," Rounds said.
The Nadroga and Tavua match will mark the opening of the Fiji FACT on Sunday. The game kicks off at 11am.
