FIJI's performance at the West Pacific Qualifying Tennis Championship have been impressive says Naga Reddy.
Reddy, the Fiji Tennis Association president said the local players were exposed to international level against players from Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea and Solomon.
He is positive the junior players will do well.
"I believe they did well, it was a good experience for them especially at this age playing against the other players from Vanuatu, PNG and Solomon," Reddy said.
Ruby Coffin and Damien Wu recorded wins on day one of the tournament. Reddy said he hoped the girls would finish the competition as the top seed.
"There are seven girls competing in the under-12 category and I think we have a good chance to qualify as the top bet. Our boys, they can finish in the top four because the competition there is a bit tough," Reddy said.
He thanked Oceania Tennis for organising the tournament.
"I think this is a good development program and it will help these junior players when they grow up," Reddy said.
