THREE new office bearers were elected during the Fiji Bowling Association (FBA) annual general meeting on Friday in Suva.

Vice-president Mazid Khan was elected new president of the FBA after Parmesh Sharma stepped down from his position. Khan said Sharma, who had been president for the past two years, was now patron of the association. "The two new office bearers are Deepak Deoji, who is now the vice-president, and Munesh Kumar, the new treasurer," Khan said.

"Abdul Kalim was retained as secretary." Khan wants to move the sport of bowls forward. "I was the vice-president when Sharma was president and the two of us did the hard work in lifting the profile of the sport in the past few years. Bowlers in Fiji can expect a challenging year because the local and international bowls competitions will be tough and challenging," he said.
