New health centre

A new health centre has been planned for the district of Wainunu in Bua. Divisional medical officer north Doctor Pablo Romanik said development plans had already been drawn up for the Wainunu health centre. "This is all part of the next year's projects and we hope to also start groundwork next year. The people of Wainunu will have their health issues taken care of by officials in the new health centre once it opens," Dr Romanik said.

Financial support

THE Bua Provincial Council will set up a committee to look into the idea of having the council meet expenses of chiefs' meetings. Bua district rep Viliame Ratudradra said the expenses of the bose vanua of Bua should be catered for by the council. He said the chiefs had traditional obligations which needed financial support. Council chairman Alipate Radrodro said the new committee would discuss the reasons of whether the council should cater for such expenses. He said such expenses had been catered for by the Ministry of iTaukei Affairs.
