THE ANZ Bank staff foundation has injected $12,000 worth of renovation work to the Coronary Care Unit of the Labasa Hospital's women's ward.
The newly-renovated unit will feature new tiles, new bedside chairs, cabinets and airconditioning system.
ANZ staff foundation head Judy Compain said they had carried out renovation works in a few hospitals around the country.
"ANZ has carried out renovation projects at the Nausori maternity ward, CWM Hospital's ANZ Ward and Paediatric Unit and the Nadi Eye Clinic.
"The Labasa Hospital has just completed renovation of the Coronary Care Unit of its women's ward, thanks to the generosity and kindness of ANZ's staff members of the foundation.
"The project is funded by contributions from staff members and the bank and cost more than $12,000."
Labasa Hospital administrator Eroni Cevamaca said they've been blessed by the bank's contribution.
"The renovation work funded by the foundation will include a slide-door for our patients and totally new tiles," he said.
"So it will provide a homely atmosphere for our patients.
"We're grateful to the foundation for its help," Mr Cevamaca said.
The refurbishments include painting and tiling of the entire unit, complete electrical works and fittings.
