THE Indian government is willing to assist Fiji financially provided we account for how that money will be used.
Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama, when paying a courtsey call to India's Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh at his residence in New Delhi, said he had asked for assistance from the Indian government.
Commodore Bainimarama said he was impressed with his brief encounter with Dr Singh, saying it was a very fruitful discussion.
Among other things they discussed, Commodore Bainimarama told Dr Singh of how Fiji would really appreciate any sort of assistance coming from the Indian Subcontinent.
