NADROGA rugby 15s team is hoping to entertain its loyal supporters who were affected by the recent floods when they take on Tavua in their second game of the Digicel Cup competition at Churchill Park tomorrow afternoon.

Players and officials of the defending champion were affected by the flood.

And most importantly its loyal fans suffered great loss to the devastating natural disaster last month.

Team manager Paula Biu said they wanted to play for their fans against Tavua.

"This is a huge game for us since most people within Nadroga are recovering from the recent floods. We hope to play a good game against Tavua to help them erase the memories of what the raging floods did to them," he said.

"Even some of the players and officials in the team were affected by the floods so we hope to give the best."

He said they would not be underestimating Tavua as they had proven to be one of the major threats in provincial competition in previous years.

"Tavua is always unpredictable. We are preparing well as normal and we are not taking our approach lightly. Tavua has been in this competition for some time and we respect them. It is going to be a tough for us as this is the first game since the flood," Biu said.

He said the players had continued their training despite not playing for the past two weeks.

The game has been shifted to Lautoka's Churchill Park. Biu said Sigatoka's Lawaqa Park was not in a playable condition.

"This is our home game but it will be played in Lautoka since the Lawaqa Park is not fully repaired from the damage caused by the floods," he said.

Biu urged the Nadroga fans to flock in numbers and rally behind the boys as they take on Tavua at 4pm tomorrow.
