THE Coral Coast Hotels Association has confirmed a container of food rations for those affected by the recent flood will arrive soon.
Association chairman Peter Hopgood said the food supplies and basic items were given by Australians.
"Once the container arrives, we'll prioritise and then distribute to the affected villages," he said.
Meanwhile, their initiative to declare the provinces of Nadroga and Navosa a plastic-free region has been progressing well.
Mr Hopgood said the initiative had been welcomed by many and communities had started using the ecobags distributed by hotels along the Coral Coast. He said they hoped to continue the initiative with posters drawn by schoolchildren.
