POLICE officers in the north will attend training programs to help improve their service delivery in the next quarter, says deputy divisional police commander north Superintendent Fulori Rainibogi.

She said police officers needed to be knowledgeable.

In an interview at the Bua Provincial Council meeting yesterday, SP Rainibogi said training would be held in stations around the north.

"We need to have training programs for the officers as mentioned by our Commissioner Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua when he visited us this week.

"Officers need to have the knowledge for their work in order to carry their duties out well," SP Rainibogi said.

She said the training program would include issues aimed at improving services to the public.

"The training will help us cut down complaints against police and police services."

Brig-Gen Naivalurua launched the training program when he visited Labasa this week.
