HOLIDAY, business and visiting relatives and friends ranked high on the list of resident departures from Fiji in February this year.
The Fiji Bureau of Statistics' February visitor arrival list indicated a decrease from 3347 in January to 2843 in February the number of people that left the country to visit friends and relatives.
There was also a decline in the number of resident departures for holidays at 1719 for February against 2151 in January.
Business trips abroad increased from 1107 in January to 1464 for the following month.
The number of people leaving the country for employment was 898, a decline from 1666 in January.
Of the total number 9381 residents that left Fiji in February ù 698 residents went for education and training ù marking an increase from 658 in January.
