Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain to
the west of Fiji is gradually moving eastward and is expected to
affect the group from tonight.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Cloudy periods with some showers over Kadavu, Yasawa and Mamanuca
group, Southern Lau, the interior and eastern parts of the larger
islands. Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers.
Isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls in the afternoon or evening
especially over the interior and western parts of the main islands.
Rain developing from the west and gradually spreading elsewhere from tonight.
Moderate northeast winds.
Moderate seas.
Outlook for SATURDAY : Occasional rain, heavy at times and squally
thunderstorms. Flooding of low lying areas possible.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Cloudy periods with some showers. Rain developing tonight.
Outlook for SATURDAY : Occasional rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Some showers and isolated thunderstorms especially in the afternoon
or evening. Rain developing tonight.
Outlook for SATURDAY : Occasional rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms.
For Labasa :
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and few thunderstorms.
Outlook for SATURDAY : Rain developing.
For Savusavu : Cloudy periods with some showers.
