THE Lautoka Football Association will be forced to incur added expenses after the announcement of the venue change for next month's 2012 Vodafone Fiji FACT.

The Sugar City was initially scheduled to host the tournament at Churchill Park however the Fiji Football Association decided to shift the venue because of the recent floods in the Western Division.

LFA president Shalendra Prasad said they had already worked out a certain budget for the tournament.

He said they now had to add the expenses for transportation and accommodation.

Prasad said they would be looking at the options to fundraise for the additional costs.

"We are not against Fiji FA for calling a late change in the venue," Prasad said.

"But we now have to look for more money to meet all the expenses. Lautoka was really looking forward to hosting the Fiji FACT.

"However no one has control over the weather. Many people have been affected in the Western Division. We will now host the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants. We support the Fiji FA for the move however the parent body should also consider an alternative venue should there be problems with the ground at Ratu Cakobau Park."

Lautoka will host only the first round of the Fiji FACT on May 6.

The main tournament proper will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori from May 10-13

The pool draws for the Fiji FACT will be held at the Fiji FA headquarters in Vatuwaqa, Suva at 1pm today.

Rewa is the defending champion.
