CLASSIC Buses Company has contributed more than $10,000 worth of food and groceries to 200 families in Narewa and Malolo in Nadi.
General manager Richard Shafiq said this was a first for a bus company to assist the flood victims this year.
He said the assistance was part of their contribution to society.
"The donation is part of assisting the underprivileged members of the community and we hope that the donation will in a way help rebuild their lives," Mr Shafiq said.
"We are also grateful to our directors who led the team helping the flood victims and we believe this is the first of many sorts of assistance that will be provided by this bus company," he said.
"Some of these flood-affected residents are our passengers and we also want to make an effort in helping them."
Mr Shafiq said the company would continue to monitor the situation of those affected and see what best could be done to help them recover.
