SAVE the Children Fiji is organising an oratory contest to emphasise the importance and the rights of a child to education.
The theme to the 2012 Oratory contest is "Access to Education Is A Right For All Children".
SC chief executive officer Chandra Shekhar said the Ministry of Education was a core partner of SC and supported childrens' programs on rights and protection, education and school development projects.
He said invitation letters were hand delivered to schools in the Western, Northern and Central divisions.
"The competition is organised in three categories and category A is for primary schools, B for secondary and C for Kids Link Fiji."
The contest will be held at district level in the three divisions from April 23-26.
Divisional competition is from June 4-8 and the national competition will be held on July 7.
The winners in the district levels will compete in the divisional level and the winners from each division will qualify for the national final.
Mr Shekhar said the three levels would allow students to participate and inform others on the importance of education.
