Computers presented to a remote secondary school in Cakaudrove will boost computer knowledge of students.

Speaking at the handing over ceremony, roko tui Cakaudrove Ro Aca Mataitini encouraged students of Navatu Secondary School to make use of such contributions brought to their doorsteps.

The four computers were given by Dominion Finance.

"The school had been looking for new computers last year and they had written to Dominion Finance for assistance and they were given the donation," Ro Aca said.

"The school management and school head had written to other donors but response was late and the provincial office thanks Karl Smith and his company for the kind donation to our children of Cakaudrove," he said.

"We believe and will always prioritise education for the children of Cakaudrove and we welcome such donation from Dominion Finance," he added.

Ro Aca said schools in the province, particularly those in villages, needed support.

"The donation will also help teachers know more about computer work," he said.

At the ceremony, Mr Smith told the students that the company was glad to be a part of equipping the students with computer knowledge.

He assured the students of his company's support.
