THE Fiji Football Association has confirmed that the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League will resume from this weekend.
National Football League secretary Jainendra Sukhu said five games would be played including the three games that were postponed because of the recent bad weather conditions.
He said this has to be done if the National League is to finish on the scheduled dates.
"We will resume the National League this weekend and we will play three of the postponed games along with two other fixtures," Sukhu said.
"Lautoka will host Suva at Churchill Park, Rewa will host Tavua at Ratu Cakobau Park and the venue of the Navua versus Nadroga will be decided by Wednesday," he said.
"If Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka and Thompson Park in Navua are not in good condition then the match will be played at Suva's National Stadium."
He said the other two games will see Nadi travel to the North to Labasa on Saturday and Savusavu on Sunday.
"The rain has stopped, the weather is fine and the grounds are drying up so we should move forward and resume the National League competition."
The fourth match that was postponed last week between Ba and Tavua will be played at a later date.
"This is because Ba will be travelling to New Zealand this weekend for their O-League match against AS Tefena that will be played in Auckland. We will decide on the date on the Ba versus Tavua match when Ba returns from their O-League match from New Zealand," Sukhu said.
