NINETEEN Public Service Vehicle (PSV) drivers had their licences suspended by the Land Transport Authority in the Northern Division.
LTA regional manager North Isoa Tawakevou said some drivers received three months and six months suspensions while one of the 19 had his licence cancelled.
"The PSV driver who had his licence cancelled had a record of 40 traffic infringements while the others had more than 10 traffic infringements," he said.
"We noticed from looking through their records, they were habitual traffic offenders so we needed to do something to serve as a deterrent."
He warned that if the 19 PSV licence holders breached their suspension conditions, the LTA may cancel their licences.
