A VEHICLE used by three men in the killing of an Asian man has been found by police.

The vehicle was found abandoned in Kinoya, outside Suva City, late on Sunday night รน hours after the killing.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro confirmed that the vehicle used by the three suspects had been found.

But she was not in a position to say whether the vehicle had been stolen.

Ms Naisoro said there were no other leads into the killing and police were searching for the three suspects.

She was unable to release the name of the murder victim.

The Asian man was stabbed several times in the back as he was getting into his vehicle near a service station on Victoria Parade in Suva about 2:30am on Sunday.

He was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where he died at 3am from excessive loss of blood.

Police said a vehicle pulled up as the Asian man was getting into his car and a man got out of the vehicle and stabbed the man several times.

The law enforcers have interviewed some people who were near the scene at that time but they have not released any further details on the brutal stabbing.

They have also not revealed whether it was a case of robbery or a planned attack on the Asian man.
