POLICE are appealing for information to identify a body that was found floating in a river last week.
The middle-aged i-Taukei man's body was found floating in the Waimanu River near Corbet Avenue along Princes Road in Suva last Thursday.
Fiji Police Force's manager media public relations, Ana Naisoro says the man is believed to be in his 30s and is five feet tall with frizzy hair.
Ms Naisoro said the man was wearing a black three quarter shorts with three white strips on the side, and grey socks.
She said the man was not wearing any T-shirt.
She said enquiries were conducted in the area with negative results on the identity of the body, which did not have any scars or tattoos.
Ms Naisoro requested people with information on the matter to call their nearest community post or police station.
