TWO men who drifted at sea after their boat developed engine problems were rescued by police yesterday.
A 60-year old man and his 23-year old son had left Vunisea in Kadavu for mainland at 8am on Saturday in
a fibre-glass boat with a 40 horsepower engine. However, their boat developed engine problems near Makuluva Island at about midday and they began drifting. Police spokeswoman, Ana Naisoro said a police search and rescue team was activated and the Fiji Navy was also informed. Ms Naisoro said the two men were rescued from Nukulau at 11:20am yesterday by the crew of the police boat "Totogo". She said the two men were in good health.
