POWER supply will return to normal and power rationing will no longer be an issue for Fiji Electricity Authority (FEA) customers in the Central Division.
FEA chief executive officer Hasmukh Patel said the damaged 132,000 volts transmission line between Wailoa Power Station and Suva was repaired earlier than expected.
"The engineers and technicians worked tirelessly despite the adverse weather conditions especially lightning in order to carry out repair works. They worked limited hours and managed to finish the job today (Sunday) instead of the scheduled date (Tuesday)," he said.
FEA in a statement said the past week was challenging because they were trying to provide reasonable power supply to customers in the Central Division through their diesel power stations in Kinoya, Deuba and Korovou.
In addition, FEA apologised and thank the customers for patience.
