The seven officers were granted bail after Magistrate Dalituicama ruled in favour of the defence who argued that although the men were police officers, they were all equal before the law and were entitled to bail under strict conditions.
As part of their bail conditions, the officers have to report to the Ba Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 6am and 6pm and were ordered not to interfere with prosecution witnesses and investigations.
They were also ordered to provide a $500 surety.
The case has been adjourned to April 18 for mention in the Ba Magistrate's Court.
