FOURTEEN awards will be given out at the 2012 LICI Cricket Fiji Annual Awards night that will be held at the Novotel Hotel in Lami next weekend.
Of those awards the most prestigious is considered to be the Cricket Fiji Player of the Year 2011/2012 for which three players have been nominated.
Suva duo Josefa Rika and Josefa Dabea have been nominated for the award along with Western's Maciu Gauna. All nominees for the awards night were revealed in a Cricket Fiji statement on Wednesday.
"Last year at a glittering event attended by over 100 attendees, Iniasi Cakacaka picked up the coveted player of the year award from His Excellency President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau," said the statement.
"This year will see the event grow even further as it becomes the must attend event of the year, as over 150 people are expected on the night to see who the winners are," it said.
"The association awards recognise the efforts of people in the respective associations whilst the Cricket Fiji National awards recognise the efforts of people with respects to the governing Bodies activities including participation for the national teams."
