THE washed out approach to the Navo Bridge in Nadi has been temporarily restored resulting in road access being opened from Suva to Rakiraki for the first time in three days.
Acting Divisional Roads Engineer West Munsami Naidu revealed this while informing heads of government departments in the Western Division at an emergency operations centre briefing yesterday morning.
He said that the vital link was opened, adding that engineers from the Department of National Roads would wait for the weather to clear before attempting to permanently fix the approach and bridge.
