THE European Union is putting together $3million worth of aid for Samoa following last week's devastating tsunami, but more will be found if needed.
EU's director for Pacific relations, Roger Moore, told TVNZ: "We have this $3million which is being put together at the moment... we will take our share if more is needed we will find it."
He said the EU currently has a program with Samoa which is worth $60million, which they "will probably be adapting that to the new circumstances".
Mr Moore was in Fiji when the tsunami struck Samoa and Tonga last week.
Around $1billion in EU aid money has been committed to the Pacific for the years 2008 to 2013.
Mr Moore travelled to New Zealand for trilateral talks that include Australia - with hopes that the three biggest donors to the region can coordinate aid to ensure Samoa's recovery.
