THE President, Ratu Josefa Iloilo yesterday announced the appointment of a new chairperson of the independent monitoring group for the People's Charter for Change, Peace and Progress.

He is Sela Molisa, a Vanuatu MP.

Mr Molisa is expected to be in Fiji for the next meeting of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji before the end of the month. He joins Robin Nair of Canberra and Reverend Amy Chambers.

Mr Molisa replaces Geert van der Linden who resigned last month.

The IMG's role is to monitor the PCCPP process and provide Ratu Josefa with an independent report on the integrity, transparency and robustness of the PCCPP process.
