A decision on the type of referendum for the People's Charter is yet to be made, a public debate on whether the Charter would be good for Fiji was told.
NCBBF member Josefa Serulagilagi said the referendum was one side of the story.
Responding to the question of what would happen if the charter failed to draw majority support, he said they were bound to gauge majority support in the end.
When Pacific Centre for Public Integrity executive director Angie Heffernan asked what would happen if the new government refused to follow the charter, Mr Serulagilagi said:
"Thank you for your assumptions. We think along different lines and it's going to be positive."
