THE Fiji Television Ltd will show the fight between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker live and exclusively on Fiji One.

The company made the announcement on Monday.

"Fiji Television Ltd wishes to announce that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Duco Events to air the fight between Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker live and exclusive on Fiji One," the company said in press release.

"Joshua is a renowned entity in world sports because he has been involved in thrilling fights.

"The popular Britsh boxer flattened old amateur rival Dillian Whyte with a crushing right uppercut in 2015

"He got off the canvas to knock out former long-reigning heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2017, and almost had his nose split in half when Carlos Takam head-butted him in his most recent outing last October."

The much awaited fight will be held next month.

"Parker, like Joshua, is an unbeaten heavyweight. The 26-year-old won his WBO heavyweight world title with a decision win over Andy Ruix Junior in 2016 and he has successfully defended the belt twice, including a slim points win over Tyson Fury's cousin, Hughie Fury, last September," the release further read.

"Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker will both put their heavyweight world title belts on the line in the first major boxing bout of 2018."

The fight will take place on April 1 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.
