Isileli and Jasmine tie the knot

FOR couple Jasmine and Isileli Taufa, marriage means commitment to the one you love that you'll be everything and more to them. It's two people becoming one and spending the rest of their lives together. It may sound cheesy, but it's something the Australian couple testify to.

"It was time to take our relationship to the next level. I wanted to prove to her I really loved her by committing," said Isileli.

"I proposed to Jasmine at Eagle Escape in Australia on our fifth year anniversary."

The couple had courted for five years before they decided to settle down. They did this in front of close friends and family at the Outrigger Resort in Fiji.

Jasmine, 22, works as an office clerk while Isileli Taufa, is a personal trainer and student.

"We have always wanted to have a destination wedding and we thought Fiji would be the perfect place," said Jasmine.

"The people are lovely and the culture is amazing. I have visited Fiji before so it was always going to be Fiji for my special day."

Jasmine's wedding dress was bought from Sweethearts Bridal in Sydney.

"It was tasteful and I loved it the moment I tried it on," said Jasmine. "My sister Natasha and my aunty Olga did my makeup and helped with the preparation. My maid of honour was Raquel my older sister, she was my first choice. My other bridesmaids were Natasha and Tahlia, they're my older and younger sisters and I wanted my sisters to be part of the wedding. They wore yellow dresses with darker yellow flowers embroided.

"This is a journey that we're embarking upon and I'm looking forward to what is ahead of us," says Jasmine. "Isileli is sweet, kind, caring and loves me for who I am.

"I love everything about her," joins in Isileli. "She is perfect."

The couple spent their honeymoon at the Outrigger Resort before flying back to Australia last month.
